AOX

(Adsorbable organic bound halogene)

The analyze AOX – adsorbable organic halogen x – detects any organic bound galogen of chlorine, brom, iodine in water samples.

The AOX content is displayed as a total parameter, being used to quantify components within waste water. Different halogen compounds show individual risk potentials.

The total parameter of AOX is also used to describe surface water quality but this does not describe the true toxic effect of a sample.
